Man Tries To Down Plane With His Mind

According to an article from an eyewitenss account of an ABC News reporter, Nick Luchinelli, a man on a Qantas flight threatened to down the airplane with the power of his mind. The man was believed to be suffering from an alcohol or drug related delusion.

According to the article the man had told fellow passengers that he was going to bring the flight down with the power of his mind. The passengers, of course, told the stewards who had to take the man seriously. It is possible that the man could have become violent.

Here’s what I don’t get. They restrained the mans arms and legs with cuffs. How does this stop him from using his supposed mental powers?

After finishing Flim Flam, I think the man would’ve “lost” all of his powers with even the slightest look or bad vibe from James Randi.

Awesome I haven’t heard this. I suppose the reason they didn’t think of cutting his head off so he could use his brain powers is because of the mess. It would just be easier to bind him and then pray to counteract the brain waves. It is also possible that the pilots put on their foil hats to protect the plane.

Yeah, it IS hard to get brains out of cheap upholstery. I’m sure that was the reason for the lack of beheading 😉

Just a quick correction. The airline is called Qantas. There’s no “u”, since it’s an acronym for Queensland And Northern Territory Air Service.
