Healthy Skeptic

When I was first considering doing Fledgeling Skeptic as a podcast I found Michael Reed’s song “Healthy Skeptic”. It always brings a smile to my face because I agree with almost every one of the statements in his song. Go take a look for your self and see if you don’t fall in love.

There’s also Bob Carroll’s “Tower of Woo” (turn up the volume for this one) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iokk35v0KRk

Those are a couple of the more obscure skeptical songs. Now if you want to talk about popular skeptical songs, we’ve got George Hrab singing his popular “Skeptic”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlQv4dTtYHc

At last year’s Amazing Meeting Keisha Gray stunned the crowd when she wrote and performed “Song for Skeptics” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqJt87hpgn4 It’s an excellent song. Take a listen.

I want to stress again that you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to be a skeptic. These musicians make an impact on the world with their lyrics. They help people to understand skepticism, self-delusion and logical thinking. ANYONE can be a good skeptic.

Even you.
