Genetic Changes Tied To Autism


A few days before yesterday’s article came out, another study was released from UCLA. In it they “scrutinized the differences in brain connectivity and function that result from two forms of the CNTNAP2 gene, one of which boosts risk for autism”. Since a gene is a part of a chromosome, This article explores in more detail the recent findings on how even minor genetic mutations affect brain biology.
